Originally made for customers to age their own at home, white whiskey is the product that goes into barrels to make Blackfish Bourbon. If you are interested in aging at home, the cooperage that makes our barrels, The Barrel Mill, has home-aging solutions.
As it hasn’t been in a barrel, white whiskey has only the flavors of the grain, with none of the caramel and vanilla flavors that a barrel adds. Our mixture of corn, barley, rye and chocolate rye give Blackfish White Whiskey a sweet flavor, with a hint of pepper and a chocolatey finish. The high alcohol content gives it a lot of flexibility as a cocktail ingredient, but it’s smooth enough to drink straight.
